Using The Sitemap

The Album has been set up much like a book divided into chapters and the "Sitemap"
is like a "Table of Contents" showing the names of the chapters. Once you go to a
page/chapter you will find there are other pages or sub-chapters giving more information.
Example: Click on "A Brief Family Tree". You will be taken to a page/chapter about Joe and
Nellie and their offspring along with other information. You can then click on each person's
name and you will be taken to another page where you will find additional information.

Be sure to check the bottom of each page to see if the information is continued to another
page. You will always be able to get back to your original page by clicking where it says
"Back to Previous Page". If all else fails, just click where it says "Sitemap" and you will
be taken back to that page so you can go, once more, from there.

Trust me...you cannot get lost nor can you lose the Album!

About Links

Back to Viewing Tips

Links and How To Spot One

A "Link" can be a word or words, or a graphic.  If it is a word(s) it can usually be
spotted because it is a different color than the other words surrounding it and/or it is
underlined.  If it is a graphic, it may or may not have a colored frame surrounding it.

The function of the "Link" is to get you from one location to another just by clicking on it.
It links you to other information. Whenever you are viewing a page, take your mouse and
run it over the page.  Whenever you see the little hand with the pointing finger engaged...
Bingo!  You have found a "Link".   Click and see where it takes you.

In order to make Hagan Family Album. a success, it must have a constant supply of news.
Everyone is encouraged to help by submitting items from time to time such as illnesses, births,
engagements, good news, bad news, anything you wish to share. The site has made it easy to
submit this information with links placed all around the various pages. You will find them in the
"News" area, "Recipe" areas, on almost every page. Simply click on the link and it automatically
opens up a self-addressed email to that area. Just enter the information, sign the email and
click "Send". The email contents will be reviewed and edited for spelling, etc. and a "pre-post"

About Passwords

Back to Viewing Tips

Passwords

From time to time there will be particular page(s) that contain personal information that will only be available
to family members. Those pages will need a Password to be entered in a box before entry is gained to that page.
Whenever you come across a page asking for a password, there will also be a box containing a "Webmaster"
email link to click on to request the password. This is being done to protect the family members personal
information and/or privacy from the public. Eventually, you will be given a permanent password but until such
time, your patience is asked.
